Alex Smith founded Enterprising Solutions (Kirkintilloch) in 1994 to offer people development and consultancy services, principally to small businesses and to those with an interest in creating their own work. The business took its name from the approach of helping individuals and organisations to develop enterprising solutions to their needs. Alex has a can do approach to life and work and endeavours always to pass this on to clients.

He is one of the leading teachers of creativity in the country and has been invited to run workshops from Thurso to the central belt. Enterprising Solutions helps individuals and organisations to develop ideas which work for them and which enable them to differentiate themselves from their competitors.

Enterprise awareness and development

  • Enterprising Solutions (Kirkintilloch) works with individuals and groups to develop awareness of enterprise in broad terms and to encourage enterprising behaviour. Clients have included much of the Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands network and many schools and training organisations, especially those working with young people. Alex Smith is a Master Trainer for Scottish Enterprise's get into Enterprise programme.

Personal development

  • Alex Smith is a licensed NLP Neuro-linguistic programming practitioner, having trained with Richard Bandler, the creator of NLP. He uses the insights this brings along with his knowledge of kinesiology to help him both in his work with groups and with individuals to make the most of their talents.
